HOW TO Make money with Zenzele

Starting your own community network company

If you are a community leader wanting to give your community data for the first time, why not let us help you to set up your own community owned network company?

So far, eight community companies have rolled out 43 networks which connect fibre points of presence. Contact our agents to set a meeting to discuss what it takes to set up a community owned network.

Become an equipment host

Business in a Box

We are always on the lookout for custodians of equipment where you can house infrastructure on your own premises to provide connectivity for the community. Our overarching objective is to provide affordable network coverage to the potential customer population, free broadband to the local schools and provide potential entrepreneurs with a means of generating an income.

When you invest in “Business in a Box”, you could get involved at any one of three levels:

The top tier involves being a Base Station Host, if your location is assessed to be economically viable. Each base station comprises a rapidly deployable mast; solar panels, controller and battery system; 4 Antennae; 4 radios; an aircraft warning light; and cabling. It is usually connected to fibre or in some cases micro-wave and is a key node giving access to the network equipment of primary and secondary entrepreneurs listed below.

Primary entrepreneurs. Each Primary Entrepreneur will invest in Zenzele Primary Business in a Box (BiaB) kit. The BiaB kit is comprised of: 1 TVWS CPE transceiver; 2 antennas; a solar panel, controller, and battery; a Wi-Fi telephone; a phone charging kit and a three radio Wi-Fi device with one omni antenna and three directional antennas. The kit provides network coverage to the surrounding area, and enables the holder to sell data, airtime, a phone charging service, and a payphone service, in exchange for a 20% commission on all voice and data sales. The Primary BiaB is provided by Zenzele to an entrepreneur willing to be a Primary Entrepreneur. The Primary Entrepreneur buys the BiaB from Zenzele, by paying 20% of his/her sales commission to us until the cost of the BiaB is paid off. Once this is paid off, the entrepreneur will then use the same 20% of his income stream to buy shares in the Zenzele network, free of debt.

Secondary Entrepreneurs: As well as providing network coverage to the surrounding area, the Primary BiaB also pairs with Secondary BiaB kits held by Secondary Entrepreneurs. The secondary BiaB kit is comprised of: a solar panel, controller and battery, a Wi-Fi telephone, a phone charging kit and a three radio Wi-Fi device with one omni antenna and three directional antennas. The kit provides network coverage to the surrounding area and enables the holder to also sell data; airtime; a phone charging service; and a payphone service, in exchange for a 20% commission on all voice and data sales. The secondary BiaB kit is less expensive than the primary BiaB kit, but is dependant on the primary BiaB kit to provide coverage. 10% of the Secondary Entrepreneur’s commission is paid towards the Primary Entrepreneur to which his/her BiaB is connected. The secondary BiaB kit is provided by Zenzele to an entrepreneur wishing to be a secondary entrepreneur. The secondary entrepreneur buys the BiaB from Zenzele, by paying 20% of his/her sales commission to Zenzele until the cost of the BiaB is paid off. Once this is paid off, the entrepreneur may then (optionally) use the same 20% of his income stream to buy shares in Zenzele, free of debt.
